The Vietnam-based manufacturing arm of Torshare, has completed a comprehensive amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) social audit,  through May 15, 2028. Around the same time, the factory also passed its ISO 9001:2015 recertification audit, with the renewed certificate now valid until May 21, 2029. Both certifications were carried out via unannounced or semi-announced audits by internationally recognized third‑party bodies, marking a meaningful step forward for the Vietnam facility in supply chain transparency, product quality management, and social compliance.

BSCI Semi‑Announced Audit

The BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) framework, established by amfori, brings together over 1,500 retailers, importers, brands, and industry associations worldwide. Since September 2024, amfori has phased out fully announced audits entirely, leaving only semi‑announced and fully unannounced models. Torshare Vietnam underwent a semi‑announced full‑scope audit—meaning the auditing firm provided only a rough four‑week window, with no specific date of site visit disclosed.

The audit team arrived unannounced and conducted a three‑day on‑site inspection covering workshop walkthroughs, document reviews, employee interviews, and cross‑verification of information. The audit was carried out by SGS Vietnam Ltd, a global leader in inspection and certification. Founded in 1878, SGS operates over 2,500 offices and laboratories across 115 countries, has been consistently included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, and holds an MSCI ESG AAA rating—the highest possible.

The audit assessed 13 performance areas, including social management systems, worker participation and protection, occupational health and safety, and ethical business conduct. Torshare has successfully passed the BSCI audit and obtained the certification.

ISO 9001 Recertification

In parallel, the factory completed its ISO 9001:2015 recertification audit. The certification, issued by Intertek Certification Limited, was initially granted on May 22, 2023. The latest recertification audit was completed on May 6, 2026, extending the certificate’s validity to May 21, 2029. Intertek is accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) , the sole nationally recognized accreditation body appointed by the UK government.

Under the ISO framework, recertification audits are required every three years, and the certificate is renewed only upon successful completion. Torshare Vietnam’s quality management system has now been in place and subject to international oversight for over three consecutive years. Located in the Do Son Industrial Zone in Hai Phong City, the facility spans more than 20,000 square meters and is equipped with multiple automated production lines and advanced testing equipment. It primarily serves the North American market with LED products and solutions. The dual certifications provide clients with auditable, traceable assurance for supply chain compliance.
